History

The SMIT BOLNES and SMIT MAN engines have been built since 1924 at the machining factory in Kinderdijk and later in a brand new facility in Zierikzee, all in the Netherlands. Engines have been supplied to a wide range of shipping industries, for instance in tug boats, coasters and dredgers. Still a large part of the originally built engines are running while being supplied with quality spare parts from Kinderdijk.
