Non-return valves
There are several circumstances in the mixture transport process that require that the return of material must be avoided. This is the task for the non-return valve. They are commonly used on board dredgers and after booster stations. The occasionally necessary opening of a pump for inspection, repair or removal of obstructions must be done without risk of the mixture spilling through the open pump. The use of a non-return valve in such a situation avoids this risk and reduces maintenance and repair time. Non-return valves are fully self-operating so no manual or hydraulic operation is necessary.
Water supply valve
IHC Parts & Services water supply valves are designed to allow water to enter the pipeline in the event of blockage. They are used between two pumps working in series. When the discharge pressure drops below a minimum preset level the valve rapidly opens to allow water entry in the pipeline between the two pumps. Automatic versions are available with control from the bridge.
