Jet Pumps

The wide range of the IHC Parts & Services pump series also contains jet pumps. Jet pumps are used for water jet devices designed to aid the removal or transport of dredged or to-be-dredged material. They typically have three main functions:

• fluidising material to aid removal by a draghead
• aiding the loosening of soil in the hopper during discharge
• clearing the hopper after discharge.

IHC Parts & Services jet pumps are particularly robust and reliable, and offer a long and trouble-free working life.

The jet pump is a single-stage centrifugal type pump, benefiting from IHC Parts & Services’ long and extensive experience in pump design and dredging technology. Jet pumps can be manufactured from low-alloyed cast steel or in special hardened variants for enhanced durability.
