Submerged dredge pumps assembly

IHC Parts & Services submerged dredge pump assembly is an ideal combined dredging power source for trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHDs). It consists of a single walled submerged dredge pump, electromotor, pressure compensation system and support frame. Installed as an integral unit in the suction pipe, it ensures optimal production, deep dredging capability, fast hopper loading times and low levels of wear and maintenance.

Submerged dredge pump assemblies are complete with drive, support and control systems. Power outputs currently vary from 150 to 6,500kW (10,000kW feasible) and systems can attain mixture density of 1.8t/m3. Depths attained are already below 120 meters (150 meters feasible).

Benefits

  • increased production
  • greater maximum suction depth
  • high to very high mixture density
  • reduced overflow losses
  • smoother suction process
  • reduced loading time
  • optimized dredger time-at-work
