TT-Pumps

The IHC TT-unit series is a complete range of compact and cost-effective dredge units developed for use in smaller scale dredging projects. It is a versatile, simple and robust piece of complete dredging equipment.

Function

Transport of mixture with the TT-units is carried out hydraulically by means of a dredge pump. The units' robust pumps have a wide working range, large sphere passage and excellent suction properties, so allowing the units to operate over a broad range of tasks. The pump is driven by a hydraulic motor directly mounted on the pump shaft. The hydraulic feed is attached with standardized couplings. The suction and discharge line mounted on the TT-unit will create the connection between the mixture and the dumping ground. Units are also furnished with jet water supplied directly to the suction mouth, so increasing output. If applicable, an integrated shaft sealing solution is available, reducing the need for auxiliary systems as well as reducing maintenance cost. A hydraulically powered cutter head is also available for use in compact material impossible to dredge without mechanical assistance. A protective casing shields the unit from damage that could occur.

Application

Most commonly TT-Units are used for loading and unloading hopper barges or sand and gravel mining. Other applications such as maintenance dredging, trenching operations and deep suction dredging are amongst endless applications. The pressure at the design point ranges from 4.2 to 5.3 bar, which makes it possible to use units with a discharge length of over 2500 m. When suspended from a crane the dredging depth can be up to hundreds of meters.

The combination of compact build, standardized hydraulic fittings and the ability to mount them on existing excavation equipment or on lines makes it possible to employ TT Units across a wide variety of dredging projects without complex adaptations.
