Jet pumps

For effective soil handling

Jet pumps are water jet devices designed to aid the removal or transport of dredged or to-be-dredged material. They typically have three main functions: fluidising bottom material to aid removal by a draghead, aiding the loosening of soil in the hopper during discharge and clearing the hopper after discharge. They may also be used to operate the degassing installation and as recirculation pumps. Major benefits include raising production, efficiency, uptime and cost-effectiveness of the dredging process. They are particularly robust and reliable, and offer a long and trouble-free working life.

Standard or customized
Standard
- from 250 to 1400 mm inlet diameter
- pressure variants: low (1-5 bar), medium (2-8 bar), high (4-15 bar) up to 40 bar in series
- casted from low alloyed cast steel or in special hardened variants for enhanced durability
Customized
- for specific customer requirements

Benefits

They are easy to install, commission and operate. They are likewise simple to assemble and disassemble. The closed cast impellers are attached to the pump shaft with thread fixation. A patented three-part locking ring facilitates impeller disassembly. Hoisting eyes or lifting brackets are provided for all parts particularly exposed to wear to ensure ease of handling. The robust Liquidyne seals ensures reliable sealing. Virtually all wear and standard parts are in regular stock thus minimising downtime due to part delivery.

The water-lubricated Liquidyne seal is designed for use in hostile environments where shafts rotate at high speeds under pressure in the presence of aggressive fluidsabrasive fluids. Use of the Liquidyne sealing system means lower downtime and extended pump life.
