Double-walled and single-walled dredge pumps
Conventional pumps
The IHC conventional pumps are those which made IHC pumps famous and are still popular because of their combination of large sphere passage, suction properties and price.
High efficiency pumps
High efficiency pumps are those that receive extra design refinement to reduce flow resistance. They are currently the norm for newbuilding projects and are well known for their high efficiency, wear resistance and compactness.
Cutter special pumps
Cutter special pumps are specifically designed to combine a large sphere passage with good suction properties and maintaining a high efficiency.
Important characteristics of IHC dredge pumps
- long working life in abrasive conditions
- wear-susceptible parts available in abrasion-resistant materials
- wear susceptible parts can be simply replaced
- wide sphere passage between vanes to minimise blockages
- easy disassembly for inspection and repair
- limited influence of wear on pump performance
- low net positive suction head requirement (NPSHr) IHC Parts & Services dredge pumps are manufactured for suction diameters from 250 to 1400mm and for low (1-5 bar), medium (2-8 bar) and high (4-15 bar) operating pressures (to 40 bar in series).
