Expansion pieces

IHC Parts & Services expansion pieces are easily removable pipe sections fitted between pump and inlet pipe that serve to allow easy access for pump inspection and dismantling and removal of blockages. They also compensate for the pressure deflection of the pump suction cover and allow compensation for possible non-alignment of the pump with the suction pipe when it is also used as fitted pipe.

Parts & Services expansion pieces are easy to mount and remove as a result of a secure minimum of installation bolts.

They are made in a variety of constructions:

1. pipe piece with one or two moveable flanges and water drain tap for easy assembly and disassembly

2. pipe piece with one fixed and one moveable flange, drain tap and inspection cover for easy interim inspection

3. two pipe pieces with connection for degassing, one piece with tongue for the degassing, one piece behind this to facilitate removal of the tongue from the pump
