Design Engineering

For the design and realization of the dredge parts and dredge systems IHC Parts & Services has its own highly skilled staff of experienced engineers of various disciplines.

These engineers are assigned to product groups; each group being dedicated to a specific set of parts and systems.

In close co-operation with the clients, the yards of IHC Merwede, and suppliers the engineers take care of a wide scope of work. Besides the technical design matters also the project budget and the project progress management are part of their responsibilities.

The modern techniques of the latest 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design), FEM (Finite Element Method) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) tools are being used to realize products and systems that meet the clients economical and technical demands.
