Dredge Pumps

The heart of the dredging challenge

IHC Parts & Services offers a complete range of dredge pumps, available in different series. All pump series are available in single- or double-walled; inboard or submerged. They are also available in low (1-5 bar), medium (2-8 bar) or high (4-15 bar) pressure, up to 40 bar in series.

Dredge pumps are available with suction diameters from 250 to 1,400mm; though customised pumps have been made beyond these parameters.

Benefits

 • reliable long-term operation
 • full range to suit all needs
 • up to 92 per cent efficiency

Inboard dredge pump

Inboard dredge pumps are the primary power source for transporting the mixture to the hopper or discharge location.
The dredge pumps are also essential for mixture transport in stationary dredgers and at pipeline booster stations.

Submerged Dredge pumps

Submerged dredge pumps are located in the suction pipe and help to transport the mixture cost-effectively from greater depths. Most submerged dredge pumps are driven directly by a submerged electric motor.

Single-walled pumps

Single-walled pumps have a compact, economic and robust design with a long, effective operating life and are easy to maintain.

 Double-walled pumps

Double-walled pumps are fitted with an external pump housing which allows the internal pump housing to be constructed from extremely wear-resistant material. This also means a smaller part of the wall thickness is needed for mechanical strength and a larger part is available for wear losses.

The outer housing also offers optimal security. In case of fracture of the internal pump housing, the outer housing prevents flooding of the pump room. A special type of outer housing is the LightHouse, which is made from reinforced composites with an innovative automated opening mechanism.
